Ice: Cold is very refreshing to a child that is teething. One easy thing you can give your child to chew and suck on is a moistened washcloth that has been frozen. It will adapt to the tissues and numb the gums a bit.

A few options: Over the counter pain medication like infants Acetaminophen or baby oral-gel or a store bought teething ring that is chilled or frozen. A damp washcloth that is chilled or frozen can also help.
