What can we use for our child that is teething? he is 5 months old , we are using prodol but anything else more effective out there ?

Stop immediately!!: Prodol and other medications that contain Benzocaine have been found to be unsafe in infants under 24 months old and should no longer be used!! They can cause serious blood anomalies. Teething discomfort is normal. Give them a cool teething ring or frozen washcloth to chew on instead. No medication unless specifically prescribed by their Pediatrian.
