No: We have learned that the larger braces that were used in the past did not provide much benefit compared to small, less obvious braces so kids being treated for scoliosis are less obvious.

No: No, it is not less common, but because we screen for it and treat it appropriately, I do think it lowers the incidence of severe cases.
