I see no conflict: I see no conflict between protein shakes after workouts and alcohol consumption. But it's a matter of degree. How much alcohol we talking about? Because moderate alcohol intake is pretty safe. But excessive alcohol consumption definitely has side effects, including nutritional depletion.
