Two ways: The first is to have the child hold/pull their lower lid down, and drop the drops onto the lower lid. At 3 years old, the child may or may not be able to do this. The second way is to have the child lay down, and drop 3-4 drops into the medial corner of the eye, and hold their head until they open the eye. This will flood the eye with the drops.

Depends on kid: If they will hold still, put your thumb on the cheek below the eye and pull the skin down creating a shelf with the lower lid.Put the drops on the shelf. If they fight it, use a 2nd person to steady the head while you use the same maneuver.
