A member asked:

My 4 year old had pink eye and was put on ciprofloxacin drops; can i use the same one my 2 year old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PROBABLY OK: In the past oral Cipro (ciprofloxacin) was contraindicated in children but more recent studies have shown no adverse effects on joints/cartilage. The only issue with sharing an eye drop is contamination of the bottle, so do not touch the bottle to anything. Hope the kids are better soon!
