A member asked:

My 1 year old son now has conjunctivitis using drops but through the day and night what's good to clean his eyes with?

Warm washcloth: I would use a slightly warm (make sure it is not hot) washcloth to wipe his eye. This will help you remove the discharge and sooth the eyeball.

Water: Will suggest warm with baby shampoo to scrub the eye lids and the eyes with warm water wash.

Washcloth: A warm moist clean cloth placed over his eyes for a few seconds should help clean out the goop. I hope he feels better soon!

Washcloth: A clean, warm moist wash cloth will do fine but try not to reuse it every day. Also, the eyes may clear up on drops in a couple of days but it is very important you finish the entire prescription.
