Check vision: Small children tend to blink hard and frequently if they can not see well. Please consult an ophthalmologist urgently to check his vision and eyes. It is very important.

Tics: It is most likely Tics or Habbit, if the eyes are not red , not itchy and he is not doing it in his sleep or when distracted it is ok. Ignoring and distracting is the best solution. Let all caregivers know and tell them not to comment on the blinking, since it will only make it worse. If it persists or your child has other associated symptoms see your doctor and may be a pediatric neurologist .
