Red circles: Your son may have an allergy affecting his eyes. He is therefore rubbing them and causing red circles around his eyes. Otc eye drops against allergies are available

Eye: If looks more like purplish hue under the eyes, it possibly can be related to allergies. Or potentially lack of sleep.
