Yes and No: They usually have elevated cholesterol but we have seen some patients with blocked arteries without and elevated cholesterol.

NO-only 1/2 the time: Actually, half the people with serious cardiovascular disease do not have high cholesterol and many with very high cholesterol do not develop heart disease which is why i can say with confidence that cholesterol does not cause heart disease! see http://www.Cbn.Com/cbnnews/healthscience/2012/october/cholesterol-myth-what-really-causes-heart-disease.
