What is plasma acth testing looking for?

Pituitary signal: Acth is a pituitary hormone. If your doctor is measuring acth, most likely he/she is also measuring a cortisol level. These two tests will evaluate whether or not you have a specific pituitary or adrenal problem and help locate where the problem is.
