Ankle Answer: Absolutely, but depending upon the severity of the sprain you should think carefully about the type of footwear you'll be using. Flip flops are a poor choice. Sneakers with socks are a better choice and ankle high boots or "high tops" are even better. You should consider wearing an ace bandage until your physician advises you to stop. Also, rest frequently during the day and later ice at home.
