Yes.: Ankles can stay swollen for many weeks following a sprain. Even when fully rehabilitated from a sprain, there could still be some residual swelling. It should dissipate over time.

Tes...: This is nowhere near enough time for the swelling from the injury to subside. The area may remain swollen for months but it will eventually go away, but very gradually.
