Diarrhea: Campylobacter is a bacterial genus that includes the species "jejuni" which is one of many bacterial species that often cause acute, infectious diarrhea. It is self-limiting, rarely lasts >7-10 days, and can be treated with antibiotics but doesn't necessarily require treatment other than fluid replacement.

No contact w/others.: This is transmitted by the fecal-oral route, as well as by infected foods, like meat and poultry. It is self limited and fluid support, and Erythromycin in children may be all that is needed. However, to avoid transmission and prevent spread, try not to contact others if infected, and/or pet saliva and feces. Also cook/wash food and hands, and have only pasteurized milk, not raw milk.
