Tooth Abscess: They can all spread... Lower infections can travel into your chest or block your airway, maxillary infections can spread into your sinuses and in very rare instances your brain. Chances are extremely small, but it does occur. I hope that you have seen a dentist for this and that you are currently under their care.

Infections dangerous: Taking antibiotics (augmentin) for a tooth infection is important to control the abcess until a root canal or an extraction can be done. All infections are dangerous and can lead to major complications or death. This infection is no more serious than any other.

Yes: Your infection like all infections can spread, but with the antibiotic that you are taking the risk is minimal. Remember to complete treatment for this tooth. Antibiotics alone will not cure an abscessed tooth you need to treat the problem which is the tooth.

See a dentist ASAP: A tooth infection won't go away without treatment and the infection may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your body. Dentist will treat a tooth abscess by treating the cause and getting rid of the infection. See your dentist ASAP.

Dangerous area - YES: An abscessed canine (eye tooth) is most dangerous because an infection from that area can drain towards the brain. Less likely with upper front teeth, but still a concern. Recommend removing the source of the infection as soon as possible (root canal or extraction if a tooth abscess) and consider a stronger antibiotic like clindamycin (if no allergies).

Yes, and possibly...: that is an area where abscesses are known to be able to spread directly to the brain.

See dentist ASAP: See your dentist ASAP to treat the area. The bone is thinner in this region and infection may be evident. Need to get to the root of the problem and not just treat with antibiotics.
