Unfortunately no: Over the internet, without an exam, it is unknown if your dental abscess is draining into your oral cavity and down your throat. It takes 24 to 48 hours for the antibiotics to really take effect, so contact your dentist if the situation worsens.

See your dentist : An antiobiotic is rarely sufficient to treat an abscess. The source of the infection must be removed to keep the problem from getting worse. Usually, this means removing the nerve and blood supply from the center of the tooth or removing the tooth itself depending on the diagnosis. See your dentist.

Dentist: Dentist or Oral Surgeon can tell if abscess is draining. Hopefully it is. While the antibiotic will limit spread and severity of infection, the abscess has to be physically treated for a "cure." Pills won't do it. See your Dentist for root canal Rx or extraction.

UnlikelyToDrain: If it's an abscess at the root of the tooth it can't drain into The throat. If it's a gum abscess it's conceivable . If your worried about infection/ pus getting into your throat, it's not likely to harm you. Any bacteria you swallow will be killed by your stomach acid.
