Is it worth it?: You did not mention how tall you are. From personal experience, height does not define a person. What you make of your life in the service of others is what counts most. I'm only 5'4 and I've been able to accomplish many things and help many people and have lived a full life. Have I felt self-conscious at times? Yes. Do I let it stop me from reaching the top of my profession? No. Good luck!

Don't worry be happy: Like the song says "Don't worry, be happy". People come in all sizes and shapes. Try to be content with who you are, you can still accomplish anything you put your mind to, there are many others like you. The surgery you mentioned is not worth the extra 1-2 inches you might gain. There are so many potential complications too and you might regret it. Try to talk to someone who has done this.
