Diet: Before you decide on surgery, try to change your diet with help from licensed dietician. Also get 2 nd opinion from another colorectal surgeon.

Change diet: You should see a gastroenterologist for evaluation and a nutritionist to assess your diet. Not only will resection of your colon not address your flatulence, it could actually make it worse. Stay away from this surgeon.
