So my tooth abscess is feeling better on its own. is it necessary for me to take the antibiotics before extraction anyways?

Yes: Yes you want to take the antibiotic beforehand to decrease the bacterial load so when the extractions done that will decrease the chance of systemic involvement of the bacterial infection

See a dentist ASAP: A tooth abscess won't go away without treatment and the infection may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. Dentist will treat a tooth abscess by treating the cause and getting rid of the infection. See your dentist ASAP.
