More info needed...: How long ago was the tooth extracted? You may still be "numb" from the anesthesia. If more than 12 hours, contact the surgeon who extracted the tooth.

Numb: You have just had surgery. It takes time to recover. If symptoms do not begin to ease off after 48 hours, call the Dentist or Oral Surgeon who did the extraction for a post-surgical reevaluation. As to antibiotics, if the tooth or surrounding tissues were not infected antibiotic may not be necessary. It's the treating doctor's call. If you want more information, call your surgeon.
