Ulcer: Zantac is good because it works immediately. If you persist in having pain consider a PPI like omeprazole ( prilosec) , or carafate (sucralfate). Also if you are having persisting pain recheck the blood H pylori in 6 weeks , because it is an antibody may take 6 weeks to be positive. Breathe test for H pylori may be more accurate now but you can not be on stomach drugs for it
