May need more: Infrequently, standard treatment is inadequate. I would first avoid all alcohol, coffee, tea, caffeinated beverages, and tomato sauces, as well as spicy foods. After doing that, if the heartburn is still felt, you could try the pantaprazole twice a day for at least 30 days.
