About referred pain: Pain in an abdominal organ can be felt elsewhere, a theory:Nerves entering the spinal cord close to each other& transmitting signals up same paths confuse the brain;feel pain in both.Stomach inflammation/distension from peptic ulcer (stomach is on left) could irritate diaphragm causing left shoulder pain.Pain under RIGHT ribs & behind RIGHT shoulder suggests gallbladder, & needs reevaluation ASAP.
