Tooth high: Call your dentist right away. A tooth that's high or too long can create a toothache even with a root canal because there's still a live ligament that surrounds the root. By shortening the tooth it will take reassure off ligament

Endodontist: A 3 rooted tooth is a complicated root canal. Was it done by an endodontist? If not, and your dentist cannot solve the problem ask for a referral to an endodontist - who is a root canal specialist.

Complex: Depending on the condition of the tooth when RCT started, the current pain may have multiple causes. If it was infected with drainage, it may take time to resolve. If the ligament has been irritated, or if the files have gone past the root tip and poked the ligament then this will also take time to heal--often weeks.Be sure the tooth is not hitting the opposing teeth .
