Ovarian cyst: 42 yo female with ovarian cyst measuring 5cm. There are two types of cysts: simple cyst versus complex. If the cyst is simple and you do not have any symptoms like pain, you can ask your doctor for a trial of oral contraceptive for 6 months. Nonetheless, if the cyst is complex and not symptomatic, you can consider to repeat pelvic ultrasound in 3 months. Consider surgery if complex/symptoms.
