Possibly: gynecologist often use 5 centimeters as a cutoff for taking somebody to surgery or not it really also depends on the appearance of the cyst meaning is it a simple appearing cyst with just fluid is it a dermoid cyst is it a complex cyst all these plus the patience symptoms Ie. Pain, determine need for surgeryyou also include the risk of torsion as well

It depends: There are a lot of factors that go into deciding if you should have surgery. Among them are: Cyst type, pain level, and interference with pregnancy (if desired). Have a good discussion with your Gynecologist and make an informed decision. Good luck!
