Depends: Their is not a specific amount of time. This usually would not need to be performed immediately. If you have pain, an elevated CA-125, a family history of ovarian cancer or some other concerning feature then that would increase the urgency. Regardless, I would not wait to long. Several weeks would not be uncommon depending on the surgeon's and hospital's schedule. Hope this helps.
