How can I come off nitrazepam without withdrawl symptoms?

Depends: Nitrazepam is a benzodiazepine not available in the usa. Ideally this would be tapered in close consultation with prescribing physician and the label recommends not stopping it without such contact. The taper would depend on the dose and how long use. I found one reference to using valium, which has a longer half-life and is available in smaller increments, in equal doses to complete the taper.
A 39-year-old member asked:

What can help nitrazepam withdrawal?

Dr. Paulo Negro Jr

This is a BZD wd!: Nitrazepam is a benzodiazepine. The withdrawal can be very difficult and prolonged. It is better to do this under medical supervision. It looks like it is not available in the U.S. The places with more experience with bzd withdrawal are substance abuse rehabilitation treatment centers.
