More hx, pls: I assume you take those for insomnia. If not, please, provide more information. Amitriptylin and benzodiazepine (nitrazepam, not sure if correctly spelled) are known to cause groginess in the morning and the sensation of fuzziness in the head. They would not be expected to necessarily cause pain in the head, but especially in the beginning, they may not well tolerated.
