Nitrazepam: Both are benzodiazepines. Nitrazepam is nitro-benzodiazepine with half life of about 28 hours. Diazepam is valium with longer half-life.

Nitrazepam diazepam: Nitrazepam (Mogadon) is a long acting benzodiazepine hypnotic that is used short-term relief of severe anxiety or insomnia. It has not been approved by the FDA for marketing in USA. Diazepam (Valium) is also a long acting benzodiazapine that is used for anxiety, sedation, muscle spasms & seizures. It is FDA approved for use in USA.
