This is a BZD wd!: Nitrazepam is a benzodiazepine. The withdrawal can be very difficult and prolonged. It is better to do this under medical supervision. It looks like it is not available in the U.S. The places with more experience with bzd withdrawal are substance abuse rehabilitation treatment centers.

Nitrazepam: Nitrazepam (Mogadon) is a benzodiazepine hypnotic that is used short-term relief of severe anxiety or insomnia. It has not been approved by the FDA for marketing in USA. I agree with having the prescribing doctor work with you on a taper. If you have developed a tolerance, consider working with an addiction medicine specialist.
