Diet: Cold sores are viral in nature and will be activated by poor diet and/or infection such as a cold. Lysine in an appropriate dose will clear these sores. This can be given to treat the sores or as a preventive method on a continuous basis. Get the advice of a nutritionist familiar with this concept.
