See below: To reduce triglycerides: -Limit alcohol to 2 drinks a day -Limit sweets, sugar, high fructose drinks, juices -Limit starchy foods -Avoid simple carbohydrates like white bread and instead choose complex carbohydrates labeled Whole Grain -Avoid choosing foods from the center of the supermarket and instead choose fresh produce around the outside -increase exercise and loose excess weight

Don't Rx a lab: High triglycerides are most worrisome as a marker for coronary risk, and this is best addressed big-picture (fitness, lifestyle, managing hypertension / diabetes, avoiding smoking, maybe diet). For some people, high triglycerides are your body's way of asking for more vigorous exercise. Think about it -- it's a great gift for yourself in any case.
