Just to clarify,: ...while cholesterol & triglycerides are both fatty substances often found in the same foods, they aren't the same. Cholesterol is one of the building blocks of cell membranes and many hormones. Triglycerides are the storage form of fat and an energy source during fasting. Too much of either in the bloodstream isn't healthy and should be treated with diet, exercise & medications. Dr. Anne
