Variable: As with all medications it depends on your metabolism etc. one thing about mirtazepine is it is usually sedating and helps you get to sleep. If you have not been sleeping well that alone may improve your mood. As far as specific antidepressant effect it may take 6-8 wks to see the full benefit, but you should see some benefit within a couple of weeks
