A member asked:

Can i take a low dose of mirtazapine for sleep and another ssri for depression?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: There's a somewhat increased risk of "serotonin syndrome" side-effects, but this combination isn't unusual. By the way, mirtazapine (Remeron) isn't an SSRI, although it does increase serotonin by another chemical mechanism.
