Educational &: behavioral therapy is geared to the individual's age & levels of cognitive & adaptive functioning. Does he or she have SSI & Medicaid + ADA accomodations for work, if an adult? People with mild-moderate ID can learn, with repetition. Federal law grants a person with ID the right to services that promote integration into the community.If ID is severe-profound, to a competent caretaker.
