MS: Have you had an MRI of your brain and spinal cord? Also usually a spinal tap looking for oligoclonal bands can help to rule in or rule out.

MS diagnosis: MS is not an easy diagnosis to make. There are often numerous brain lesions and abnormalities in the CSF, which is obtained by spinal tap. Think of having symptoms, but they are not necessarily MS symptoms. Sometimes the spinal tap or MRI tests done over a long time help answer your question.
