Strep throat: try to make sure that he doesn't have any fever, vomiting, no neck pain. If none of that, I think he should be ok

Treated ? : A strep infection is very easily treated with penicillins, But you need to complete the therapy. If the fever and other symptoms are gone, the sleepiness should not be an issue. If you think this is excessive, though a quick check up at the pediatrician may be a good idea to reassure nothing has taken a turn for the worse.
