No good data: it's not clear whether or not the gallbladder ejection fraction will improve over time as there have been very limited studies in this area. A study performed in 2006 looked at children who had either surgery or no surgery after being diagnosed with a low ejection fraction. When children followed out to two years 74% of those who had surgery improved and 75% improved without surgery
