Yes: Typically acute cholecystitis would show no filling of the gallbladder and in chronic there would be some filling and a diminished ejection fraction. Have u had an ultrasound?

It does : In acute chokecystitis, the hida scan will typically show obstruction of the cystic duct (the duct to the gallbladder) this results in a nonviualized gallbladder. In chronic cholecystitis the gallbladder can be seen, meaning the duct is open. A stimulant is then given and the ability of the gallbladder to empty is measured. 50-75% ejection is normal. Less than 25% is considered dysfunctional.
