Yes: While "dermatitis" is a general term, prolonged hot water bathing can worsen skin inflammation in part by removing natural oils and thus led to itch. Other aspects of bathing such as scented soaps, abrasive scrubs etc. can further worsen dermatitis. Check with your doctor as other causes of itch are possible such as kidney disease or polycythemia (associated with hives after hot water exposure).
