A member asked:

What can be done about itching in skin folds? the itching is more intense when bathing in warm water. medicated talcum powder gives only temporary relief. antibiotic ointments only seem to make it worse. cortisone cream has no effect one way or the other.

If : If there is no skin breakdown or rash, keeping a skin fold dry and as free of moisture as you can is a good start. If there is skin breakdown you may have a secondary infection or fungal rash and may need to see a physician.

I : I sorry but I am a facial plastic surgeon, not the best person to answer your question about skin itching. Consult with your dermatologist who treats similar problems everyday.
