Meaning of MRI: MRI- Magnetic Resonance Imaging. It's a machine that takes very high resolution pictures in the body. In this case the picture is of the pituitary gland which is divided into a portion "in front" called the ADENOHYPOPHYSIS and another "in back" called the neurohypophysis. Your physician will tell you what the results mean when talking about signal intensities etc.
