Anxiety: Being in therapy for anxiety and depression is a great step in your effort to gain control of your life. Your questions about how long it will take to feel bette and if you are a candidate for medication should be discussed in your therapy sessions. I tend to believe if therapy alone does not help, than medication could help you to focus and think better.
