About

Bio

I have two Masters degrees in psychology and a Ph.D. in Professional Psychology with a dual specialization in Clinical and School Psychology. I am both a certified school psychologist and a licensed psychologist in New York State. For over 30 years, Dr. Gurr has been affiliated with hospitals, clinics, and school districts on Long Island. He is a member of many professional groups. I have supervisored graduate students from local colleges and universities. I have written articles, been quoted in newspapers, heard on the radio and seen on television on a wide variety of psychologically related issues. I also specialize in using Virtual reality Therapy to treat phobias and anxieties. See more information me by going to my website at www.drsgurr.com.
