Go slow: To lose weight insure that calories burned > calories consumed. Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic & weight lifting exercises. Surgery may not be necessary. Take care.

Last Resort: Weight loss surgery should be a last resort except in extreme cases. A food diary to helpful to analyze your eating habits in order to start making healthier choices. An easy start is to cut out fast food and soda. Concentrate on eating fresh foods instead of processed foods. And start some light exercise as well.
