Nonop v op v type: This depends on multiple factors such as the cause of the scoliosis, the age of the patient, the health and nutrional status of the patient and the severity of the deformity as well as the skill of the surgeon and of the hospital staff asscociated with all aspects of that patient's care

Zero in childhood : Developmental scoliosis in childhood is not directly related to mortality. If severe & surgical intervention is necessary, then there is a minute risk of mortality. If acquired scoliosis, then mortality risk increases with age, medical complications, underlying cause & debility.
