See an orthodontist: It's the fact that straight, well-aligned teeth are an important part of a great smile and general health. Braces are the most common way to straighten teeth. See an orthodontist for evaluation and treatment options.

DIY Orthodontics: Sorry, but that's not possible. You'll need to see an orthodontist for professional care.

6+ years: It takes at least 6+ years after college to be fully versed in Orthodontic Care. There's no OTC that can substitute for a 12,000+ hour training commitment. If something that actually works had been invented, we wouldn't need Orthodontists at all. Please see a qualified Orthodontic Specialist, initial examination usually free or modest cost. The Orthodontist can then discuss your options.

Avoid OTC: Any ads that promises to straighten teeth over-the-counter or online is asking for problems. You need a dentist and/or orthodontist who is trained to do so without creating other problems, like TMJ/TMD, teeth problems and other issues. If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS!!!!

Diy: There are certain health related things you can DIY, ( do it yourself), eat healthy, exercise, give up smoking, drink in moderation.... Orthodontia is not one of them, like they say on TV- do not try this at home, these are professionals...
