Stepped on glass 3 wks ago, xray showed nothing, dr refused to touch it. removed 3 chunks myself. it remains painful because of swelling. what now?

Recheck: if you are still having pain it could be infected or there could still be small pieces of glass in your foot that need removal. Glass does not always show up on X-ray. You may need another test. If your family doc does not feel comfortable checking further I suggest you see a podiatrist or foot specialist.

See a surgeon!!: You could have glass in your foot that the x-ray did not see. If it is still swollen and painful, there is still glass present in your foot. It needs to be removed before a severe infection develops.
